SFH 2017 Plantings

At Serendipity Farmhouse there are two gardens dedicated to edible plants and herbs. There is also a wild flower garden that has room for edible plants if the need arises. Additionally, there are several apple trees, a fig tree, and several strawberry plants scattered throughout the yard. We intend to expand both in terms of quantities and individual varieties during the 2018 planting season.

During 2017, the following items were planted in the three gardens.

There were some problems during 2017 and the table below lists some of them. However, the most disconcerting problem was blight that wiped out more than half of our tomato crop. By changing dirt in the garden boxes and moving the tomatoes to different boxes we hope to alleviate the problem in 2018.
